Step by step

1. 1Select the exact document; avoid sharing an entire folder when only one file is needed.
2. 2Open Sharing from the file or its details panel.
3. 3Search for the person or group and confirm their identity before selecting them.
4. 4Type part of the name in the field for adding people. If similar names appear, confirm the recipient’s account with them.
5. 5Review permissions: allow editing only when the person needs to change the content.
6. 6Check who has access. Remove access from the same panel when the collaboration ends.
7. 7Ask the recipient to open Files → Shares or their notification and confirm they can view or edit as agreed.
